RadiometryThe radiometry of the imagery is a very subjective parameter. A full histogram with good color balance is a good objective way to produce a consistent product, but because of gamma differences between display devices what the customer likes may look different. What people tend to want are consistent color tones across a project. This of course is more difficult than it sounds as the project may consist of hundreds of images taken over a period of days, maybe even with different cameras. The follow samples show two images where one has a more pronounced blue shift than the other. Realize that the blue image may have been more appealing to the customer and therefore the one that was delivered.
Good Image ExamplesThere are two images that we are showcasing showing perfect framing of an area and extremely good image quality. The capitol is a vertical image where the area of interest is directly below the camera and the surrounding streets are ideally framed in the photo. The second is an oblique that has the area of interest squarely in the middle of the frame and the road intersections at the fiducials. This would be hard enough to do for a vertical photograph but to do this on an oblique is truly awesome!
